Philipp Bonhoeffer has brought three of his ideas into clinical applications, the Multi-Track System, the Melody valve and finally the infundibular reducer. This forced him to deal with many different aspects of development in particular in the early phases. These 3 stories illustrate the challenges which were encountered but also show the fruitful environment in which these ideas could be generated and finally brought into clinical practice.
